T.C. Voice Studio
Hailing from a vocal lineage that includes famous pedagogues such as Giovanni Battista Lamperti, to legendary singers such as Franco Corelli and Louis Quilico, Theodore Chang strives as a instructor to unleash the full potential of each voice. No cheap tricks, just your voice.

About my teaching
Teaching, in my opinion, is one of the greatest arts and something I take as seriously as performing on the stage. I have had the honor of studying with some of the greatest voices of the past half century: Kim Josephson, Allan Glassman, Elizabeth Norberg-Schulz, Chris Merritt to name a few, and they have not only honed in my voice but also taught me how to listen. My teaching prioritizes the optimization of the natural function of the voice and the strengthening of muscles that will last for decades. It is not an overnight occurrence, but a rewarding process that requires patience.
What I Offer
Besides my vocal heritage, I have been teaching since high school, a deep knowledge of vocal repertoire, and coursework in vocal pedagogy and related classes with papers written on topics such as registration and repertoire. My teaching extends into NYSSMA preparation, ensemble assistance, summer program recommendations and both college and professional audition preparation. On top of that, performance opportunities such as recitals will be offered at no additional cost.
